The wing-nut used to tighten down in the threads broke into multiple pieces the first time I used it, using only finger-tight pressure. To me this suggests it was made of improperly heat-treated metal, but i'm no expert. I was forced to go down to a hardware store and buy a new wing-nut to use with the tool, but that wasted most of an afternoon doing so, which is why I ordered this tool from Amazon to start with.If you feel like talking the risk, be sure you know where you can get a replacement wing-nut before ordering, personally I'll be looking at other brands, this was my first Powerbuilt branded item, and probably the last if I can avoid them. Please keep in mind this is unrelated to Amazon itself my item arrived quickly and packaged well.
