Retains the Onstar functionality of my Chevy Silverado and makes integrating a third party radio easy to install without cutting any of the wires coming out of the dash. The only thing that I can see/hear that is lost is the turn signal chime when you turn left and right. It also would have been nice for the "black box" to have been smaller. Otherwise, product makes installing a new radio much easier. If you have questions about which interface to get (with or without OnStar/with or without Navigation/with or without Bose/etc.), contact Metra.
